Editorial Rating:

In a bunker deep beneath Space Mountain, a crack team of engineers on the Disney payroll has apparently been working around the clock to perfect the world’s cheesiest guitar tone. The fruit of their labours is smeared all over the third disc by Walt’s latest wholesome boy band, who’ve grown far enough beyond the boundaries of teen sensation to have earned a recent Rolling Stone cover. Read the title as a plea to the group’s maturing fan base — “Please leave those posters on your walls a little bit longer!” — and you’ve halfway got it. The Jonas’ songs — which this time feature few assists from professional tunesmiths — have become less confectionery and more grounded in classic pop. While the vocals tang a little of generic emo and the guitars are distractingly laughable, power-pop turns like “BB Good” and “Tonight” stand on their own merits. Surprisingly good.
